In MT it used to be numbers under 10 written out, over 10 use Arabic numerals.
If there was a range given that included numbers both above and below 10, you'd
use Arabic (She will return in 7 to 10 days). Now I think the new BOS uses
Arabic exclusively, except for things like. "At one time she had noted....."
I've noticed in the newspaper they will write "seven to 10 days." In books I've
noted they will write out numbers - though not sure how they would do a date.
In the overall scope of what it does to meaning, it is too bad it is something
that even matters - just be consistent IMHO!
