I'm even more excited about ActiveWords after spending the day playing
with it.

DocQscribe users can rejoice! We now have a program that provides
much-needed macro capability that is lacking in this
otherwise-excellent transcription platform. After throwing together a
bunch of commands to quickly access my favorite online references (such
as the UPIN physician lookup and MedLexicon), I started working on some
scripts to save my completed reports in my WinXP filing system. This
provides a solution for MTs who wanted to use the filing system
described on my forum but didn't like having to use the mouse.

DocQscribe users need to save completed reports in their own filing
systems if they want access to them for longer than the 2 or 3 days
that the reports are kept on the user's hard drive. I encourage DQS
users to save nearly every report they create, both to make
dictator-specific normals from them and to have the reports available
for glossary compilation in Instant Text. If you use DocQscribe and
this sounds interesting, I invite you to visit my productivity forum:
http://tripiforum.proboards28.com/index.cgi [Note that DocQscribe is
referred to as The Platform on that forum at the request of the
trademark owner.] You'll find discussion of a filing system under
Working with Windows; I've added a new board for ActiveWords
discussions.
