As a matter of fact, a lot of these mass suits against fast food and the like
are for free, at least fee free to the client. The attorneys who take them are
rolling the dice on a big pay day.

They're still clogging up the system and draining resources. There are better
ways to make a point that has no legal basis whatsoever.
