((Lazy and stupid??? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I
am a Republican and work harder than anyone I know. Lazy, who's lazy, who
wants the government to hand everything over to them that they want. Who
panders to special interests? Give me a break.))

Cheryl, I agree wholeheartedly with you on this. I was raised in a Republican
family by parents who worked six days a week to bring up four daughters. We
weren't rich by any means, but we didn't lack for the basics because of the
hard work of these two people.

I'm also a Republican and have been most of my voting life while either working
two jobs or double shifts to get ahead in life and support myself with no help
from anyone else. I now collect Social Security but feel okay doing this since
I've paid into it since the age of 17 without complaint. I don't consider
myself la*y just because I'm retired and WILL be voting for President Bush
because he is the best choice.

Even though I'm single with no children, I also willingly pay my taxes to
support various local schools since I believe very strongly in giving children
as good an education as they can get. I pay property taxes that partially go
to hospitals I don't use since I pay for my personal HMO medical insurance
without help from anyone or any government. People who truly are la*y or
simply can't afford medical insurance for one reason or another are helped by
my taxes and yours and that of other people who go out every day to work.

To brand people who prefer President Bush as la*y is the height of rudeness,
but then I look to the source for that comment. Don't you, Cheryl?
