Judity, I have great respect for you though we are politically on different
sides of the fence this time. I don't consider myself to be a Democrat or
Republican. I tend to think that historically the Republican party has
favored the wealthiest people and the Democrat party has favored the working
class. The reason I think this is that labor unions usually back Democrats.
The only bearing I think that has on the price of eggs is which ever party,
their heart is going to follow the money. Republicans have supporters like
Wal-Mart, Democrats have supports like the Teamsters. I know...DH got a
letter urging him to vote the Democrat ticket. Special interests.....either
party.

As for SS, I have proudly applied for my retirement too and having worked
and paid into the system since I was 14, I feel I jolly well have earned it,
just as you have. My worry is with a trillion dollar deficit how long will
those checks be coming....which is why I decided to take what I can get at
age 62. I don't like the past 4 years and I'm pretty sure I won't like 4
more years under W though I'm sure I'm going to have to deal with it.
