He had surgery Sep 15, spent 10 days in the hospital and 20 days at
"rehab", came home the 13th (last week). Yesterday the pain hit hard,
and I had a really bad feeling about it and demanded the X rays be taken
while he was at dialysis. Screws in the plate are loose (we'll have fun
with that bit for awhile), the doctor just called and is calling in a
trauma specialist. No healing has taken place in all this time . . .
none! The orthotist just left after applying an immobilizer; the pain
has been relieved somewhat already. Since he is in bed, and the hallway
is short with turns, it is going to be interesting to see if they can
get him out of the bedroom tomorrow for his dialysis. I could tell the
pain was relived with the immobilizer because he cracked a joke with the
orthotist!

All prayers are welcomed, Anne. I have learned to never say it can't
get worse than this, because it sure can. But we'll go with the flow
and if I can keep my hands off moosetracks ice cream while he's in the
hospital, maybe it will all end well. Thank you for your prayers.
