I wonder why they don't just explain whether or not the post in question
was edited. Saying it's not their practice or policy to edit posts
sounds like they don't, but saying they wouldn't put someone in jeopardy
by changing a post to something that could result in the poster being
sued for defamation sounds a bit more ambiguous. If I post something
somewhere, I don't want it edited AT ALL unless it's by me! I agree
with Emily that I would rather have a post deleted than edited. Nah,
I'll stick to a normal newsreader for reading/posting to NGs.
