OT: Anyone make candles?

For some reason, I'm fascinated with the idea of making candles. I'm
not a particularly creative, crafty, or handy person and I've been
known to start projects that I never finish. Cross stitch, hooked rugs
and a Victorian doll house are all projects I've recently thrown out
because they were years old and I've completely lost interest in them
before they were even half completed. They were all rather
time-consuming and became tedious after the initial few steps.

That said, any advice? Should I try a kit, buy a book, take a class,
or all of the above? Or some other option, like maybe forget the whole
thing?

Remember, not only am I a procrastinator and a klutz but I also very
definitely have my moments where I could be easily mistaken as the
village idiot.

My husband thinks I'm nuts and refuses to get involved in this latest
adventure. Can't really say I blame him, LOL.
