By the way, anybody see the demo that Inside Edition did and had no problem
throwing a 150 pound dead weight woman over the side of the boat in open
water, showed today? Also, below is the Peterson timeline for those not
familiar or needing to refresh their memory.

Peterson timeline
Dec. 24, 2002: Laci Peterson reported missing from her Modesto, Calif., home
by her husband, Scott Peterson.

Dec. 28: Authorities search water near Berkeley Marina for the first time.

Dec. 31: Modesto police shift their focus in the case to foul play.

Jan. 3, 2003: Modesto police ask the public for help verifying the
whereabouts of Scott Peterson in the days before Christmas. In Berkeley,
police spend hours combing the waters near the marina.

Jan. 9: A sonar search in the water near the marina reveals an object that
authorities think is a body. It turns out to be an anchor.

Jan. 17: Laci Peterson's family and friends hold a news conference to demand
that Scott Peterson tell authorities everything he knows about the case.

Jan. 23: Laci Peterson's family says Scott Peterson told authorities he had
been involved with another woman.

Jan. 24: Amber Frey, a massage therapist from Fresno, comes forward and
confirms she had a romantic relationship with Scott Peterson.

Jan. 28: In a televised interview, Scott Peterson admits he had a
relationship with Frey and says he had told his wife about it. "It wasn't
anything that would break us apart," he says.

Feb. 5: Laci Peterson's family members step up their criticism of Scott
Peterson, saying he sold his pregnant wife's car and considered selling the
couple's house.

Feb. 10: Laci Peterson's expected due date.

Feb. 17: Scott Peterson's mother, Jackie, says her family believes
kidnappers abducted Laci with intentions of holding her captive until she
delivered the baby.

Feb. 18: Authorities issue a search warrant for the Petersons' home in
Modesto, where they remove possible evidence and take measurements.

March 6: Modesto police declare the case a homicide.

April 14: The body of a woman and a male fetus that washed ashore in
Richmond, Calif., are found.

April 18: Police in San Diego arrest Scott Peterson. California Attorney
General Bill Lockyer says bodies found in Richmond are those of Laci
Peterson and her unborn son.

April 25: The district attorney announces he will seek the death penalty
against Scott Peterson. A spokeswoman for Laci Peterson's family says they
will not comment on the decision.

May 2: Mark Geragos, a Los Angeles lawyer who has represented celebrities
and served as a television commentator during coverage of the Laci Peterson
homicide investigation says he will replace two public defenders assigned to
Peterson during arraignment April 21, when Peterson said he couldn't afford
a lawyer.

May 4: A public memorial for the baby and mother is held in Modesto. More
than 3,000 people crowd into a local church to say goodbye.

May 19: Amber Frey, the massage therapist who revealed she had a
relationship with Scott Peterson, says she is prepared to testify at his
trial.

June 6: After extensive news leaks of the autopsy results, a judge rules
they will remain sealed. Among the details reported were that loops of
plastic were found around the fetus' neck.

Aug. 18: A judge bans cameras and recording devices at Scott Peterson's
preliminary hearing.

Aug. 22: Contra Costa coroner's officials release the remains of Laci
Peterson and her son to their family, four months after their bodies washed
ashore on San Francisco Bay.

Aug. 29: The bodies of Laci Peterson and her son Conner are buried together
in a private ceremony. About 250 relatives and friends attend the 30-minute
service.

Sept. 26: Laci Peterson's mother files a lawsuit seeking to bar Scott
Peterson from profiting if he's found guilty of killing his wife and unborn
child. The lawsuit asks a judge to bar Peterson from spending any income
earned from the case - such as payments for interviews or book or movie
rights - until a verdict is reached

Oct. 20: Preliminary hearing scheduled. Prosecutors are expected to lay out
their case against Scott Peterson in the deaths of his wife and their unborn
son. It was originally set for Sept. 9.
