I just talked to a lady I used to work with. She works for a transcription
company now (she hates it). Anyway, was trying to get an idea of what to
do. She told me I should be making AT LEAST 10 cents line. An history and
physical I typed this morning was 211 lines (and that was a short one).
That was half of a side of the tape, not quite. She really gave me some
good advice, because of the extra wear and tear on me in addition to my
full-time job, and my family. I wanted to try this account, and I'm not
sorry I did, but going to do keep it for minimum wage. If it's too
expensive to pay a transcriptionist a decent wage, why does he insist on
using only the "best" high-grade paper? Does not make sense to me.
Thanks, everyone, for their input, and please keep on with it. I really
respect your opinions. Like I said, I'll behave. :)
