I would be willing to bet that you are right about that being one of the
reasons why they initiated all of these security measures. I saw something
on television about them a short while ago and about how they are losing so
many subscribers per month and it is really hurting them in a major way so
they are having to lay off workers, etc. They made it sound so bad - you
know with Christmas coming up and all. I personally believe you reap what
you sow and if people are starting to get fed up with all the constant
problems, glitches, etc. then they are going to look elsewhere and when you
offer nothing much more than the "same internet" then you are going to have
to jump through some hoops to get people to continue justifying spending
the additional money per month.
