I've been listening in the last week or two for any commentator who
claims to have insight into Sharon Rocha's desires in this regard, and
no one is willing to opine. My personal opinion is that she will ask
for life. She doesn't seem like the "eye for an eye" type to me. Of
course, whichever way it goes, in California he won't be executed in
his natural lifetime, so a life behind bars will be his either way.
I'm not sure how it works out financially, i.e., which costs more, the
appeals process of a death row inmate, or housing and feeding someone
for the rest of his life.
