That may have set off alarms about child abuse, though I
personally don't think it is. IMO, the brats are getting
what they deserve, although it's probably not entirely their
fault. Some of the blame needs to go to the parents. And
what about the part of the story where the son comes home
and finds all the reporters on the lawn. He enters the
house without commenting and his mother follows him in to
<console> him. WTH???

Our rule now is that we don't plan mixed hike- tent sleeping, we accept they might choose to, but that neither boys or girls should feel coerced by their peers into doing so. ...
