Local morning TV news just ran a clip about Blockbuster trying to get back
people who switched over to Netflix by doing away with the late fee for one
week. However, after that they charge you the purchase price after deducting
the rental cost.
The clip showed someone at Netflix sitting in front of a computer putting
together the DVD in its familiar red envelope and sticking on the customer's
name and address label. It was rather interesting to see how this was done
since I'm a satisfied Netflix customer.
Do any of you rent through Blockbuster now? Oh, by the way, someone here
mentioned "K-PAX", so I just added it to my rental queue. It sounds like a fun
movie. I also added "Two Brothers" about orphaned lion cubs that will be out
later this month.
