I don't have Netflix service, but I boycotted Blockbuster YEARS ago for
several reasons.
Two years ago, my FIL expressed a desire for a Blockbuster gift card and
so I sucked up my bitter hatred. I was unpleasasntly given yet ANOTHER
reason to hate Blockbuster with a passion--I either had to have a
membership to purchase a gift card OR pay an extra $5 OR supply a credit
card even if I wanted to pay with cash.
I said a few choice things and went straight to Hollywood Video
threatening my FIL (of course, he wasn't there) with dire consequences
if Hollywood Video wasn't on his wish list.
On a positive note, I love Hollywood Video and have since the day I
signed up. They have never given me grief about anything and seem not
to have the same lame rules that Blockbuster does.
