A few friends have suggested that I buy a laser pointer as a toy for
my cat. Apparently they love to chase the little red light and will
play for hours with minimal effort on the part of the human. (Sunny
seems to prefer playing "with" me than "alongside" me, and she needs
daily exercise or she won't sleep through the night. Sounds kinda
like a toddler or something, doesn't it?) Anyway, to me it seems that
chasing a nonexistent toy is ultimately frustrating for the cat, even
if you let her "catch" it every so often. Anyone have thoughts and/or
experience with this? (You can tell I'm bored, sick with the flu, not
working, and looking for something interesting to talk about.)
