Expecting other security firms to post announcements that Microsoft has
apparently now decided to incorporate "free" antivirus software into its
operating systems would be rather like expecting Netscape to have told you
that you ought to switch to Internet Explorer, don't you think?

I don't necessarily see this as cause for rejoicing, since the net result
may be the same as the great browser wars. Competitive products will be
driven out of the market, and then MS will allow its own product to
deteriorate, since there will no longer be any incentive to invest much
further development time or money once they have a monopoly.
