Doggone it. What is this world coming to?

None of us did anything wrong. DS and DIL lost every cent they had in this
world and nearly got killed doing it.

The county couldn't arrest this man - no jurisdiction. So they confiscated his
car, which no doubt pissed him off to no end. It fell on the city to pick him
up, but they didn't. Oh, but not to worry - they are "contacting him on
Monday"

We have the incident report. They're charging him with aggravated robbery (a
felony), all this other stuff, aggravated assault, I don't know what all.

The papers they gave Joe include the guy's name, address, phone number. They
also include Joe's name, address, phone number!

Course, that was not a problem, since he already had everything of theirs.

It just so happens that we know the prosecuting attorney - his kid and my
daughter were in Pony Club together and horse showed together. I believe I just
may call him tomorrow.

Meanwhile, here we are. Exhausted, scared, carrying guns in our own house.
Robin was afraid to drive in our driveway.

I don't get it. They talked to him. Why didn't they arrest him??
