There are many kids in daycare that I know of who do not take naps.
Sometimes they will be required to have quiet time but they cannot force
them to fall asleep. LOL, If she is irritable without it, then she
obviously needs the sleep.

Well, I'm not saying this to be rude but being a mother isn't about being
well rested and refreshed all the time. I know that sounds harsh but it's
the truth.

So..the child is in daycare all day while the mom sleeps and then on
weekends, when not in daycare, the mom works nights and sleeps during the
day? Sounds like the child is refusing to go to bed in an effort to spend
more time with her mom and trying to manipulate her that way. Of course
that's just the first thing that pops in my head.
