Thanks for the info! I think it's soooo bizarre that it works on some
systems and not others. The stakes are high for me because my Lanier
VoiceWriter EX call-in system software is DOS as well. Everything
works fine on Win98. With both 5.1 and the Lanier program windowed I
can even transcribe and keep tabs of minutes done/left at the same
time. I'd love to keep that capability.

I'll keep everybody posted on how it goes when I make the move. My
motherboard went south last week and was replaced with a used one that
needs to hold me for a few months before I make the move. I have some
time to "finger it out..."
