I duplicated this problem by assigning ESC to Alt-1 in a soft keyboard.
I wonder if you accidentally could have remapped that key if you're
using soft keyboards. The ESC gives the repeat value for macros. If I
had a macro that typed my name and wanted to run it 100 times I'd hit
ESC, enter 100, then run the alt-10 macro name and it would run the
macro 100 times.

Holler if you think that may be the issue and need any assistance.
