Yep, DNS requires a lot of hardware horsepower and system resources.
Can't wait to see how it will run on the pc I'm planning on buying sometime
this year. I recently upgraded the RAM on my old PIII 733mhz to 768MB, and
that helped significantly, but I know it would run faster and smoother on a
newer pc.
There is a new motherboard form factor called "btx" that is just starting to
show up. Gateway has a few systems built around it now, but other companies
will also.
It lines the cpu and video card up, and uses two 8" fans turning at
relatively slow rpm to cool everything. What is most attractive to me about
this new motherboard design is that these systems are very quiet.
