I seriously considered trying to switch when I first went to computers, but
then typing 90+ words a minute (now considerably more at least in spurts)
and being in my 50s, and having been touch typing since I was about 12, I
really felt it would not be productive. I out typed the IBM Selectrics
(hated that typewriter).

What I do not understand is why they keep teaching Querty when almost any
decent Word processing program can be converted to Dvorak, and I think it is
actually built in to Windows, isn't it? People are slow to change, but I
would think Querty should be left to us oldtimers. I can't imagine why
anyone starting out would choose to learn it.
