Oh, I wouldn't think that discussion could get you into any kind of trouble.
My brother was very impressed with my purchase of that mike, so I knew it
had to be a good'un.

Yes, I've found that to be true. But, as you say, there's good info to be
had there.

I'm pretty much phasing out of MT (only one small account left). The rest
of my work consists of LT (court transcripts and attorney interviews) and GT
(interviews for TV shows), so I'm not sure the medical aspect would help me
much, anyway. That being the case, I'd venture to guess that most of my
work is going to be along the lines of "general" vocabulary words, with
technical vocabulary added in as I go along and have the need.

Got'cha. I'm not as speedy as many who post here; best time is only about
115 wpm, but with my hands already giving out on me with osteoarthritis and
swelling from hypothyroidism, I don't hit that all the time. I suspect the
speed will drop even more so with coming years. The way I figure it, I need
to be able to keep cranking out work for at least anther 20 years, if at all
possible. (I'll be 51 this summer.) That being the case, I figure it
should be worth the effort.

Sure! I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!

Even though I've only played with it a few hours, I can see where that
should be doable already. (I wouldn't have said that before I got the new
"Mr. Microphone," though!)
>A lot depends upon how much you still need to add to the vocabulary.
That's one advantage LT and GT has over MT, because I don't have so much in
the way of technical vocabulary to add all at once.

too, two).
Yeah, but I already deal with that with subs. 8-(

Yeah, I can see where it wouldn't be for everybody. I can't say I like
talking better than typing, but I think it's going to be a necessity in the
future. Also, I can see you have to have a whoooooooooole lot of patience
in order to get it trained to where you can really use it in an efficient
manner.

That's what I'm counting on. (Also, I'm hoping DH will pick it up and use
it so he can help me too. He types a whopping 22 wpm, and I think this
might be the only way I can get any keyboarding help out of him in the
future.)

Will do. I'd hate to put all that work into it and then lose it.

Thanks!
