I don't have a chihuahua, but I know they can be very tempermental and
downright mean with little ones. Make sure your son understands not to pull
tails or be otherwise rough, they have a very low tolerance. Honestly, I
have never seen a nice chihuahua that was calm or well mannered, but I
haven't seen *that* many to make that assumption. OTOH, I love rotties and
other big dogs with big brains. It may depend on the breeding, so you
probably have one from good blood. Unfortunately, I see them running around
all over our neighborhood, and standing out in front of cars just there
looking at you like they own the road.
