Well that sure puts him in a Catch-22 situation. If he divorces her, he
stops being her next of kin. If he truly believes that she wanted to not be
kept alive in this fashion, his only choice is to remain married to her and
fight it. This to me only proves that he is telling the truth. There's no
real social stigma attached to divorce nowadays, and certainly he's face a
lot more social stigma by fighting this fight. Yet he chose to do so, and
that to me shows that he genuinely is fighting for what he believes to be
Terri's best interest.
