"Sorry for preconceived misconceptions!"

Not a problem! 8-)

On this issue I think a lot of the Christian conservatives and conservative
pundits and politicians are missing the bigger picture in their haste to
promote their own agendas--agendas which, ironically, I probably agree with
to a great extent. But IMHO inviting Big Brother in to supposedly uphold
our individual freedoms is a study in contradiction.

The more I listen to some of the Christian/conservative activists who are
opposing Michael Schiavo, the more I get the feeling that the main reason
they oppose him is because of who they think is SUPPORTING him. Not only
that, I was listening to Randall Terry on the Sean Hannity radio program
yesterday, and this guy was about to have a coronary on live radio, talking
about what a monster Michael Schiavo was and in general just really going
over the top. To me that is so counterproductive, even if I agreed with
what he was saying. Same reason I don't listen to Dr. Laura, not because I
don't agree with a lot of what she says, but I just don't think being a jerk
is all that helpful.
