I'm not blaming one party or the other; IMO, members of both have behaved like a bunch of idiots in this matter. I just don't believe that Congress or the President had any business getting into this. The woman has been made a spectacle of when she is least able to defend or help herself, and I think it's shameful. The only bright side I can see in this whole horrifying situation is that it has made people talk more openly about their own wishes for end-of-life issues and put those wishes down in writing. Maybe Terri's legacy will be to spare others some of the indignities and misery that she and her family have suffered in all of this mess. I hope so. I hope SOME kind of good can come from all of this!!
