If one was an employee, this seems reasonable to me. I have had to
stand up to being asked to do something dishonest in the past and say
no and take the risk of getting fired.

The way I look at it, if they weren't willing to take the risk of being
fired for it, it couldn't have been that strong of a belief, could it?
