Forcing her way into a graduation ceremony to which she was not invited says, to me, that she is a willful child who likes to be rebellious.

Where I live, home-schooled children do not have a graduation ceremony regardless of what school they went to prior to their graduation. If they did not complete the school year in the school, then they do not walk on graduation day. They just don't let you show up and put you on the program of a school's graduation ceremony because you earned it like everyone else.
Of course, I am certain that states vary on their terms for home-schooling. Our home-schoolers register through the state (FWII) and not through a school. You graduate and you are done. There is no ceremony for you and you don't go to the school in your district and expect to be put on the roster to walk and get your diploma.
