Rae, I know you don't like conservative Christians, but I don't know of any who would be blackmailed into voiting for anyone. The pastor who told his congregants that those who voted for Kerry should leave the church has since left the church himself. These things just don't work on Christians any more (and perhaps even less) than on people of no faith at all. Those people in Virginia didn't leave the church and the pastor wasn't telling them who to vote for, but whom they "should" have voted for (past tense).

Conservative Christians know what will put them in Hell and what won't. A pastor saying we will go to Hell doesn't cut it and none of us would believe it.

I ask again, are you saying you believe conservative Christians should not vote?

Sorta like the refusal of communion to folks who support certain issues. That's religious blackmail for people whose lives revolve around the church. When these preachers are demonizing the other side of the ballot, they are telling people basically VOTE LIKE WE SAY OR YOU'RE GOING TO HELL.
