I have had some of the same problems in WP, too. I do everything in Arial
12 other than that client, and Arial 12 is my default, but when I have been
working in Times New Roman sometimes I will start an Arial 12 document and
it changes to Times New Roman. What I have done is create a format for my
TNR client, and open that format. I'm not sure how I set it up, but I save
it in Word for him, and I have to name the document as I cannot save it as
the format. Does that make sense? Don't know how to explain it, but I did
solve the problems I was having such as you describe. Times New Roman is a
Microsoft default and I don't think they want you to use anything else. I
hate that font, incidentally. I find it hard to read, and I proof much
better in Ariel. I am trying to talk the client into using Ariel, which,
incidentally, will give you a better line count if you use gross lines, but
I told him I would adjust the margins so it would not mean a change in
price.
