Question about Instant Text

I have a question about a little problem I am encountering with Instant
Text. We recently started using it at the hospital where I work. We have had
it only for about 3 weeks or so. On the whole, I like it a lot, but there
are a few things I have a problem understanding.
The question is regarding some of my formatted glossary entries. When I play
them back, part of the short form stays in the document instead of
disappearing.
For example, I had bolded "PENICILLIN" as a glossary entry. When it plays
back, it prints out as "pPENICILLIN" instead of just PENICILLIN.
I have had this happen on a few paragraph-long entries also, but it seems to
be just the formatted entries that have this problem. Most of the entries
work fine. I have even deleted these and added them back again with the same
results.
Does anyone have any idea why this happens? And what can I do to avoid it in
future?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
