I would give the guy a deadline, tell him I'm getting rid of my tape
equipment as of such-and-such a date, period. Give him the
instructions he needs to send you the work online. Be prepared to
solicit other clients if he doesn't go for it. Right now he has
absolutely no incentive to change a thing, and unless you force the
issue, you're going to be stuck. Good luck to you.
