I had an extensive discussion with the various allergy and asthma doctors
in my area ( I worked for two of them and was a patient of one). All three
of them had alpine machines in their homes and in their office. Ozone, in
an unregulated form, can be damaging. However, I have noticed that if I
turn mine off to clean the plates and forget to turn it back on, I am up to
my eyeballs in asthma and allergy trouble the next day. There is a ton of
information about the use of the small amounts of regulated ozone used with
these machines. Also, since getting mine, my migraines are MUCH less
frequent and MUCH less severe. Again, when I've forgotten to turn it back
on after cleaning it, I get asthma issues, allergy issues and migraines.
