If you enjoy the transcription part, don't give up. I worked my first MT
job almost three years before I moved on, and I moved on to own an MTSO. I
may have been an exception to the rule, but over the years, I've developed
a lot of contacts, a lot of experience, and a fairly decent reputation in
the business, and I'll never be without work.
I know you said "good luck" to anyone going into it, but seriously, if the
job suits you, don't give up just yet.
