Re: Finding an IC on internet

I have to agree with that too. I definitely am not racist and can't think of
a single person ever accusing me of it. I also have no problem with
outsourcing to, as Lizzie said, qualified people. The undercutting with
shoddy work is what's killing us. I have to share my main client with a U.S.
based, Indian run transcription company and although that's my only
first-hand experience, it's not been a bed of roses as I am constantly asked
to do QA work for the files they do and I get irritated and stressed really
quickly with having to fix every day terms that they just can't get the hang
of. If you want to compete in this business you have to have some command of
the English language and lingo if for an English speaking dictator. That's
just the way it is, pure and simple.

The reason I said I loved these names is (and this is just an opinion of
mine) that I truly believe a lot of the companies out there like this that
are run by the people from India or wherever they may be (India just being
the prominent one) are just putting up fronts in the U.S. so they can say we
are U.S.-based. Just my opinion, but I honestly believe a valid one.

Now, back to xenophobic. That's very incorrect, considering my most favorite
and bestest (yes, I am entitled) sub is in Sweden.

I am outspoken and loud about feeling that if someone migrates to this
country that they should have to learn our language, not the other way
around. Is that xenophobic? I don't expect all the Germans to learn English
or change their product labeling in any way because I move there. It is 100
percent on my shoulders to learn the language of the people, not for them to
learn mine. It's nice but should not be expected.
