Janice, I've been playing the "should I or shouldn't I?" game off and on
for years. When I was working with Scribes Online (now a part of some huge
conglomerate), we did some outsourcing. I was very much against it. We did
it anyway :) We did heavy QA and things got better, but I don't think that
Indian company is still in business. I really didn't have much to do with
the MTs as the QA team did that. A couple of times since then, I've been
wooed, but it never has panned out for one reason or another.
Again, my experience was not a bad one. It was a learning experience. There
were expectations beyond my capabilities and that was an issue. I'm glad to
have had the chance to learn first hand.
