I used to use MP Count. It was simple enough but after a while I started
noticing discrepancies in the counts, etc. even though I only had it set up
to count characters and spaces. I believe it was here that people warned
me about MP Count and the inconsistencies in counting but I had it and
hadn't noticed anything yet so I kept using it. I use Abacus now, which so
far has passed "my" audits of its counting style.
