Occupying toddlers (was Coca-Cola on keyboard)

I was going to reply in the same thread, but then people might miss the
announcement that I got a job! :-D It's my first job working for a company
and I'm pretty excited. My doctor is taking about half the summer off, and
this is a huge relief.
However, for the first time, I'm working on a schedule. In fact, even the
last office job I had was flexible - my hours were 7-4, but if I came in at
8 it was no big deal, I'd just work until 5. Now I have a four hour block
of time in the afternoon I'm going to need to work. My mom said she'd help
keep him occupied but I'd rather not have to do that every day. Each kid is
different, of course, but does anyone have any tips on dealing with this? I
start on July 26, so I have some time to train him and I'm not too nervous
about it - he's a good kid.
I believe the spilling was an accident as he's not allowed to have those
drinks and wanted to sneak a sip. He did come running up to me the second
time saying "trouble!" to let me know immediately after the second time. I
take partial responsibility too for keeping a drink by my computer while he
was awake - Mommy knows better! lol
Thanks,
Christie
