Well, my Mom will be 83 in October. I love her dearly but she is a
master manipulator. She is extremely healthy (for that I am so
grateful), only takes two pills a day, still cooks, cleans, drives
(although not very well now but I'm certainly not going to be the one
to tell her she needs to quit). She can be the sweetest person in the
world to your face or on the phone (which she stays on most of the
time) but the minute she hangs up or you leave she starts badmouthing
you - this includes ALL of her grandkiddos (except two), ALL of her
great-grandkids, ALL of her son-in-law and daughters-in-law (they are
all SOBs are far as she is concerned), etc. I have one brother and two
sisters - we have all taken care of her since she was in her early 40s -
hasn't even tried to work since then - always says she is to "dumb" to
work (yeah, dumb like a fox). She lives with me so I get the brunt of
it. We can never cook a meal, wash a load of clothes, vacuum, etc.,
that she doesn't tell us how we should do it or how not to do it! I
sometimes wonder how I reached 63 years of age by myself because she
makes you feel so stupid. Can't blamd this on her old age though
'cause she has always been like this - just worse now!

Well darn - I really did vent, didn't I? She has just been making me a
little more nuts lately than usual. I always love her - I just don't
always like her. I know one thing - when I get to the point that I
can't take care of myself I will go into a nursing home. I will NOT be
dependent on my kids - no way! I'll call Kevorkian before I become like
she is.

I know I'll regret posting this as soon as I hit the button but I
needed this!
