Nah, she's perfectly able to get to the phone. She's doing it on purpose.
It's not a new thing for her, though. She's always done this sort of thing.
After my mom started spending winters in Florida, she got a lot worse about
it. Mom will go over there and ask her if she needs to go to the store or
anything, and she'll say no, and then 5 minutes after Mom leaves she starts
walking to the drugstore or the grocery store, and tells the neighbors she
doesn't have a way to get there. Stuff like that!

She answered the phone a little while after I posted before, and of course
is just fine, and was right there, and just didn't hear the phone. When it
was busy for 3+ hours the other night I know it was off the hook.

She even guilted Mom into selling her little Florida place, which she dearly
loved and enjoyed much more than she enjoys being here, and staying back in
WV full time. :(

It's not an old person thing, it's a mess-with-ya thing. Thanks for your
replies, and for reading my rant!
