Re: Outlook Express

Mac mail and T-bird (for newsgroups), myself. I was forced to use that crappy Microsuck thing briefly, myself, and I believe that's when our family dubbed it Outhouse Explode. . . (Yes, I avoid Internet Exploder, as well.)

Why are you compacting mail, anyway? Text files are tiny, and you can save the important parts elsewhere. There's a lot to be said for thinking Zen and just tossing crap you'll never read again anyway.

I am growing to hate this program. Twice, now, I've lost a good chunk of e-mail I've saved in different folders because I've compacted my file cabinet. Anything with a file folder beginning with the letter E or beyond gets dumped. Any ideas as to what's going on? Thanks!
