OK, I have a tip to share as well.

My desk is set up on a tile floor and I'm forever chasing my foot pedal
as it slides further and further away. I also have problems with my
keyboard slip sliding away on my keyboard tray.

I snipped a couple of pieces of that mesh rubbery stuff that is used
for lining cabinets and drawers and Voila!! No more slipping!

Of course, you all probably thought of this years ago - but I'm slow at
times :)
