ut of course you're thinking of it as a business person, right? You might be able to save a few cents while you put my health and personal information at risk overseas.
Then you know very little about the rates the offshore companies have quoted me recently in all that unsolicited email I am somehow getting.
I do question, though - if the issue is with the sending of PHI offshore, then why not be mad at the person doing it instead of the person who is on the receiving end of the work? It is not their fault that the company sent it offshore in the first place. They are just transcribing it to feed their family.
The one company I recently had experience with, though, had contracted with a US MTSO to have the reports QA'd before sending them back to me and they do now have a US team of MTs. The Indian company was paying Americans to do "American's work". Of course, the QA was absolutely terrible and a few of the US MTs who I know work for that company leave much to be desired in terms of skills also.
