About eight years ago, I sold some property to a family on a private
contract. They're usually several days late with the payment, but have
never missed a payment and it's never seemed worth the bother to argue
about it. It's been quite a few years since I was a landlord, but
punctuality with rent payments always seemed to be a minor issue
compared to upkeep of the premises and good relations with the
neighbors.
