Re: OT: Anyone a landlord?

If you're renting and don't have enough cushion to make a payment w/o receiving rent, you're not running your business very well. Stuff happens. Perhaps the tenant becomes ill and can't work, dies, or moves out and they can't rent it. I don't know for sure, as I'm not looking at my mortgage statement, but I'm rather sure there is a grace period of more than one day.

They're usually several days late with the payment, but have never missed a payment and it's never seemed worth the bother to argue about it.

Well, not everyone is fortunate to own property outright that they rent to others. If not, then whether or not the rent is paid on time would be worth it, IMO, considering I would still have to make the mortgage payment and they certainly do care whether or not _their_ payment is on time.
