Re: Katrina

I'm not sure the "powers that be" are doing everything possible. Look at
those people stranded on the highway. Helicopters can land there with no
trouble. Where are they? People are dying up there. New helicopters can
get through with no problem. Where does the highway go? I saw cars on some
scenes--where are the busses to take these people away. They have people on
news programs telling people numbers to call--there are no phones. By now
cell phones are dead and no way to charge them!
It is a freakin mess. They interviewed a Louisiana National Guard unit
outside of Baghdad. They should be back in Louisiana--that's what the
NATIONAL Guard is for. I know there was terrible mismanagement here with
Andrew and it didn't stop until the Army came in. FEMA wouldn't take our
application without a phone number! They asked for a neighbor's phone.
There were no phones. They insisted on a "contact" number and I finally
gave them my daughter's phone number in New Jersey for a "contact" number,
but we had no way of getting in touch with her!!!!

Okay, I'm going to say it, and I know it is going to make people mad, but I
think our President and his cronies are nothing less than mass murderers.
They are fighting a holy war while our people are dying. Go ahead and flame
me--I don't care. I'm mad as hell and I'm saying what I think of it.
