I'm in the Houston area. It's only by the grace of God (and 350 miles - not much distance, when you really think about it) that we're not in New Orleans' place today. I DEFINITELY need to get some sort of preparedness kit going!!!

Well, I'm on the New Madrid fault and more and more earthquakes have been occurring this year. I guess since I'm also not living in a place as safe as MI then I need to lug things out to the shelter we found. Thirty year old house and we found a shelter out in the backyard....cool, although I think it's too close to the house to be very effective if things start falling.
