Seems to me someone should have made those phone calls BEFORE he was
hired.

But I (mostly) agree with Rae - go buy your lottery ticket. Someone in
a position that important ought to be fired immediately for lying on
their resume. (And whoever was so incompetent about hiring them
without checking their prior employment, too. It isn't like any of
these people would have been difficult to reach - the media found them
easily enough.)
